The Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco was part of the Panama-Pacific Exposition for the 1915 world's fair.
It was partially destroyed through earthquakes and the ravages of time. Only recently was it retro fitted for seismic protection.

When the light is right, it's down right beautiful.
