"In the still water of the fountains one saw the splash of human faces, ignited by these gold and scarlet stars as they rose hissing into heaven like thirsty swans." from Justine by Lawrence Durrell.

Well nothing better to show today than three roses curling in the heat shot through the front window. With temps pushing up against one hundred for the past several days....I have not had the courage to mosey outside bristling with creative urges and find something to shoot.

I did have a couple of paid jobs this weekend...outside....sports...in the gawd awful heat. I was drinking continuously throughout the day downing cold water, ice tea, and a ice cold Gatorade from the cooler that was smothered in ice.

To the weather I say - please cool down!  Autumn cannot come fast enough.

Thanks for stopping by.
