50,000 WHOA!!

Now I know that the big guys, Ken, Scott, Kirk, Ming, etc...all get a gazillion hits a month. But this blog just hit 50,000 and for me...that's a pretty big awesome!

The big guys spend paragraphs and pages of verbiage pontificating about new stuffs, new camera, latest flash, brand new lens, etc etc.  I think that's what a lot of readers want...shop talk. Nothing wrong with that. There's just a lot of it out there. So that department is taken care of.

Me? I just make images with what I've got...haven't purchased a camera in three years or a lens. Of course that may change but for now I just like making these posted images.

To borrow David DuChemin's phrase, "Gear is good, vision is better."

Thanks to all for checking out my blog, taking time out of your busy day. I'll let everyone know when I hit the big 100K!

"Rainy day, rain all day
Ain't no use in getting uptight
Just let it groove it's own way
Let it drain your worries away yeah

Lay back and groove on a rainy day
Lay back and dream on a rainy day"

Another busy weekend coming up, if it doesn't rain, because all scheduled shoots are outdoors. Looking at the weather radar spells no way.

It's that time of year and graduating from high school is just around the corner.

Here are some samples of senior photos. If you need  senior pictures or know somebody that does please give me call. I would be honored to mark that special time in any student's life.

This morning I was organizing some old photos from past productions and came across this 4x6 print of beakers and microscope. I was producing a video about lab procedures and needed a title card to put chapter titles over and made this setup on a table. The image was xferred into an AVID computer and title cards were made.

For the life of me, I can't remember who it was for.

The print is from negative film. I probably used my Olympus OM-1 as that was my main camera for over twenty five years.
