"For the artist communication with nature remains the most essential condition. The artist is human, himself nature, part of nature within natural space." Paul Klee

Just spent several days in Los Angeles...too many things to do. Here are some images from the Natural History Museum. They did have the obligatory dinosaurs, lots of them, but been there done that. I thought the dioramas were particularly striking.

The day we went it was very slow and not a lot of people. I had the diorama hall to myself...it was that slow. Great time of year to go.

                                                                     The antler wall.

Not quite as ferocious as The Revenant bear but I wouldn't want to prove myself wrong.
But then it is stuffed but imposing nontheless looking up.   Again, hardly anyone in this hall.

Each exhibit has it's own color lighting scheme.
